New 19th Hole at Thana City Golf & Sports Club

Samut Prakarn (Thailand) – August 15, 2015 (travelindex.com) – Conveniently located at Bangna-trad KM14 just 30 minutes away from central Bangkok and 15 minutes from Suvarnabhumi International Airport, this professionally managed 18 hole semi-private golf course is the only Greg Norman designed course in Thailand. The 6,966 yard par 72 layout is situated within the Thana City residential and lifestyle community and features fast greens and strategically placed bunkers as well as natural lakes and streams. Excellent drainage allows for play throughout the year. Thana City has featured some of the world’s best professional golfers playing in globally televised tournaments such as the Thailand Open, Johnny Walker Skins and the Kosaido Ladies Open.

The course is delighted to introduce the unique 19th Hole, adding an exciting and challenging new element in allowing golfers to settle those all-important bets, this will also be a fun hole for raising funds during charity events.

At Thana City, our international class 18 hole golf course was designed by the legendary Greg Norman, also known as “the Great White Shark” so the course decided to name holes 16, 17, and 18 as Shark Bite holes. Starting from the walkway through our Shark tunnel from the 15th hole to the the 16th hole tee box, there will be a giant shark sculpture letting golfers know that they are now entering the Shark Bite Holes.

From the 18th fairway you can see a shark-shaped green side bunker, greeting all players’ approach shots to the final green. How will you fare against the Shark Bite?
