Insight on Trends in Digital Marketing and Hospitality

Phuket (Thailand) – May 15, 2015 – Trisara Academy, a training facility operated by Montara Hospitality Group, is offering a hospitality and tourism workshop called “Get Digital” on 21 May 2015 at 2pm.

Specifically designed for Hotel Owners, General Managers, and Directors of Sales and Marketing, the lectures cover two topics that are highly relevant in today’s world of business: digital marketing and Chinese tourists. The workshop is offered in partnership with Brand Karma, the leading digital marketing solutions provider for the travel and hospitality industries. Led by Morris Sim, Co-Founder and CEO of Brand Karma and Kittisak Pattamasaevi, VP of Sales & Marketing for Montara Hospitality Group, the lectures will include a ‘Ask the Consultant’ session where pre-submitted questions will be chosen randomly and answered on the spot.

Prior to launching his own company Brand Karma, Morris gained experience in the digital marketing field working as the Senior Director of Marketing at Microsoft and as the Chief Technology Officer of PoloRalphLauren.com

In addition to the lecture on ‘Digital Marketing in Asia’, Morris will lead a discussion on ‘Attracting the Right Chinese Customers’. “These days so many countries are competing for the Chinese tourism market. In order to remain in the lead hotels need to understand what Chinese customers are looking for in an overseas holiday, and how we can develop our hospitality and tourism experiences to better suit their expectations. We will take a look at what we can do to prepare for the exponential growth in Chinese tourism numbers to the region,” said Morris Sim, Co-Founder and CEO of Brand Karma.

The presentation on ‘Digital Marketing Case Studies’ will be shared by Kittisak Pattamasaevi, VP of Sales & Marketing for Montara Hospitality Group, the owner and operator of Trisara, an ultra-luxury villa resort voted “Best Leisure Resort Worldwide” by Gallivanter’s Guide in 2015. Kittisak received his MBA from Harvard Business School where he was COO for The Hospitality and Travel Industry Club. He currently serves as Director of the Niyom Pattamasaevi Foundation in Lampang.

He explains, “Digital marketing is evolving rapidly and we see many companies in the region putting more resources in this area. To survive in today’s competitive business world, companies need to understand what their customers want to see in order to capture and maintain their attention. We aim to share observations from our properties and provide insightful analyses through cases studies to help them develop marketing, branding and communication that is relevant to their customers.”

Cost of lecture is THB 3,000 per attendee.
