Asia Golf Tourism Convention in Chiang Mai Thailand
Chiang Mai (Thailand) – April 19, 2016 – (travelindex.com) – The 5th Asia Golf Tourism Convention (AGTC) will take place in Chiang Mai, Thailand, from 24-27 April 2016. AGTC is without doubt the premier golf travel event in the Asia Pacific region and our 5th Convention will attract a record number of golf tour operators from around the world, along with golf travel suppliers from every golf destination in the Asia Pacific.
AGTC will take place at Chiang Mai’s state of the art exhibition centre, located only 15 minutes from the centre of town. The airport is also only a 15 minute drive from town, making Chiang Mai an incredibly convenient destination for this large multi-national travel trade event.
More than 4000 meetings will take place between golf tour operators and golf resorts, golf clubs, hotels, inbound operators and tourist boards over two days. AGTC attracts over 600 delegates from 32 countries including an expected 180 golf tour operators, all selling Asia Pacific golf destinations, from all leading markets. Chiang Mai is also a great golf destination, with more than 10 golf courses to choose from, all located close to the city set amongst lush countryside and surrounded by mountains. This cosmopolitan city has a host of trendy bars, hotels, restaurants and spas, as well as 30 temples within the ancient city walls and of course the famous Night Bazaar.
AGTC delegates are invited to enjoy a Welcome Reception, Gala Dinner, Golf Tournament and many other functions in addition to the valuable business sessions, while buyers can also join pre or post fam trips.
All of the business sessions at AGTC will take place at the wonderful Chiang Mai International Exhibition & Convention Centre (CMECC) located only 15 minutes from the centre of town. Most convention centres are just functional, but the CMECC is a beautifully designed and decorated masterpiece set in front of a backdrop of Chiang Mai Mountains, yet only a few minutes from the city centre.
The supplier tables will be set up in the principal exhibition hall, which will be carpeted. All tables will have an electric point, and wifi will be available throughout the venue. Lunch will be provided in one of the two full service restaurants within the complex. The Opening Address will take place in the Convention Hall and the Supplier meets Buyer Speed-dating session in the pre-convention area.
Official hotels will be appointed for buyers and suppliers and shuttle transportation will operate between all official hotels, the exhibition centre and functions.
