9th Bangkok Grand Wine Tasting

Bangkok (Thailand) – June 30, 2016 (travelindex.com) – The ninth edition of the prestigious annual Bangkok Grand Wine Tasting will again be held at the Grand Ballroom, the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok on Friday, 8th July, 2016, said Mr. Joe Sriwarin, MD of The Wine Professionals  Services Limited, organiser of the Bangkok Grand Wine Tasting.

The Bangkok Grand Wine Tasting is the longest-running wine event in the kingdom and will showcase up to 300 wines currently available on the market.

The Who’s Who of Thailand’s wine business and high-profile wine enthusiasts meet boutique wine producers and leading importers in this special annual evening.

Unlike other wine tasting in the country, the aim of the Bangkok Grand Wine Tasting is to present wines from around the world that have not yet been imported to Thailand, and to highlight new arrival wines from leading importers.

This year, overseas producers are invited to send wines to the Bangkok Grand Wine Tasting, which will be displayed and offered for tasting at the “Looking for Importer” pavilion.

Mr Sriwarin, said “We would like to see more of the new wines and not so well known wines from around the world. This is because we have many newly established importers and enthusiasts who wish to import wines but can’t travel everywhere to look for them.

The highlight of the event includes the winner of Thailand’s Best Sommelier Competition announcement and the introduction of over 100 new wines to Thailand.

“Enthusiasts will have an opportunity to meet the winner of the 9th Thailand Best Sommelier Competition,” said the organiser of both Thailand’s Best Sommelier Competition and Bangkok Grand Wine Tasting, Joe Sriwarin, MD of the Wine Professional Services, Thailand Sommelier Association & President of the Southeast Asia Sommelier Alliance.

Tickets for the Bangkok Grand Wine Tasting available for advance purchase only @1,800 baht per person and this includes lavish cocktails.

The overnight package cost for two persons staying at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok is 8,500 baht net inclusive breakfast, and two tickets.
